Education and Training Development Manager for HEROS Charity and North Farm Stud Eleanor Boden is joining her team mate Gerry Kennedy in running the Great Scottish Run Half Marathon on 1st October, 2017 to raise funds for HEROS Education.

Eleanor has been extremely busy since joining the team and has set up a wide variety of equine retraining and horseracing qualifications for people working within the horseracing industry. HEROS Charity operates as an independent training provider and also successfully collaborates with other training providers and council referals.

All of this success in developing courses and encouraging people to get involved means that HEROS Charity could now do with some more teaching and learning resources.

Eleanor says: “Our HEROS Education barn looks fab-u-lous, and everyone is welcome to come and have a look for themselves, but I would like some more technology to be embedded so I am therefore raising money for this purpose.

“Any donation, no matter how big or small, will go a very long way to help people learn how to help horses.”

This all fits in to the charity’s ultimate goal of truly giving ex-racehorses a second chance and an opportunity to enjoy ‘A New Life After Racing’.

Our valued supporters

We could not continue our valuable work without the support of our many friends and donors, including corporate sponsors. Without their support many HEROS Charity fundraising events would not be possible; we are grateful to our sponsors for the opportunity their support provides in enabling us to take our fundraising activities to a wider audience.
